Alcantara Vineyards and Winery Drive and Lunch – Sunday, April 11th 2021

This drive will take us to the Alcantara Vineyards and Winery in the Verde Valley for lunch and a pleasant afternoon.

This will be the Regions first “formal” lunch drive since the Covid-19 restrictions started a year ago.

Lunch will be outdoors overlooking the Verde River in a covered pavilion. Order lunch off the menu and enjoy their wines!  There will be live music to enhance your afternoon. There will be plenty of space for social distancing. They have a number of menu choices, many more than appear on their web site.

Plan to meet in the parking lot at the Maverick Gas Station in Dewey. (1344 Prescott Country Club Blvd) by 10:00 am for a 10:15 am departure. We should arrive at Alcantara Vineyards around 11:30 am.

The route will cross Mingus Mountain, through Clarkdale and Old Town Cottonwood before arriving at Alcatara Vineyards, which is just off Highway 260 between Cottonwood and I-17.

The drive route will be approximately 45 miles and will last about 1 hour, plus return home.  The drive will officially end at Alcantara Vineyards so people can stay as long as they like before heading home.

With the continuing number of Covid-19 cases, please remain in your car at the start. There will be no formal drivers’ meeting. Route and driving instructions will be emailed in advance. Masks are still required when social distancing cannot be maintained.

The club leadership believes this is still appropriate to help insure the health and safety of the members. Someone will come to your car with the driving waiver to sign.
